We’re only seven games into the new Premier League season and Manchester United are already getting jittery about manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch boss saved his job at the end of last season after United managed to win the FA Cup and, with very few top-class managers on the market, the club decided to stick with him.
Now the club are 14th in the table with only two wins to their name and a string of poor performances. Those in charge are going to have to decide very soon whether to give Ten Hag more time or bring in a replacement ahead of the January transfer window in order to save their season.
Our bet is he goes very soon…
Thomas Tuchel is 9/4 favourite to become the next permanent manager, but he is also currently being linked with the England manager job. Former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is a close 2/1 second favourite. There are still a few people hoping that Gareth Southgate gets the job and, at 9/1, he may be worth a cheeky punt!
